Rolling Stones get hands on ICC World Cup trophy

Adelaide, Oct 27 (IANS) Renowned British rock band Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and drummer Charlie Watts, currently in Australia for their 14 On Fire world tour, took time off from their busy schedule to visit the Bradman Museum and were also shown the International Cricket Council's (ICC) 2015 World Cup trophy here on Sunday.

They were taken for an exclusive tour of the famous museum by John Bradman, son of Australia legend Don Bradman.

The duo also posed for a picture holding the large gold trophy. Both men are hoping that the England cricket team will be lifting the trophy for the first time after the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) scheduled for March 29 next year.

Adelaide Oval will be the location for four World Cup matches.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, February 14-March 29, will see the world's best teams competing for cricket's biggest prize across 14 host cities in Australia and New Zealand. The two countries last hosted the tournament 23 years ago.

The Rolling Stones arrived in Australia on October 19 and held their first show at the Adelaide Oval. They'll also be travelling to Perth, Victoria, New South Wales and Brisbane during their Australia tour.
