SA20 2025: Full schedule, squads, match timings, and live-streaming details

The third edition of the SA20 league, organized by Cricket South Africa (CSA), is set to begin on January 9 and will run until February 8, with a total of 34 matches scheduled during this period. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape, under the leadership of Aiden Markram, have won both previous editions of the league.

In the inaugural edition, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape triumphed over the Pretoria Capitals, who were restricted to a modest total of 135 in the final. In the second edition, Eastern Cape batted first and posted an imposing total of 204/3. Despite a valiant effort, Durban's Super Giants collapsed for just 115, allowing SEC to secure an 89-run win. Marco Jansen was the standout performer in the final, claiming five crucial wickets.

The tournament features six competing teams, each led by the following captains:

• Durban's Super Giants: Quinton de Kock
• Joburg Super Kings: Faf du Plessis
• Paarl Royals: David Miller
• Pretoria Capitals: Wayne Parnell
• Sunrisers Eastern Cape: Aiden Markram

The league will follow a double round-robin format, with each of the six teams playing against the other five teams twice.

The playoffs will feature an exciting structure, beginning with Qualifier 1, where the top two teams will compete for a direct berth in the grand final. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams will face off in the Eliminator, a high-stakes match where the winner will stay alive in the tournament and aim for a spot in the final.

The SA20 league will be played across six venues, with each location hosting key playoff matches. The first qualifier will be held at the St George’s Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha. Centurion will then host the following two playoff matches.

The grand final, scheduled for February 8, will take place at the iconic Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, providing a fitting venue for the conclusion of this thrilling tournament.
