According to reports, Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal has been reprimanded and warned for a Level 1 breach of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
The off-spinner has been charged with a Level 1 offence under Article 2.1.4 of the Code of Conduct, after he was heard using foul language on the live telecast.
The bowler who was reported for a suspect bowling action after the first Test of the series against hosts Sri Lanka at Galle, was caught on the stump mic during day 4 of the second Test match at Colombo (SSC) during the 105th over of the Sri Lankan second innings.
The charge was laid by the on-field umpires, Ian Gould and Richard Illingworth, and third umpire, Bruce Oxenford. All Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand and a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a players match fee.
