Shane Warne admits to split-up with Elizabeth Hurley

The legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne confirmed in a TV show that he is ‘single’ once again and his fling with actress Elizabeth Hurley is over. Warne was engaged to Hurley in September 2011, but the pair broke up later as Hurley reportedly got fed up with Warne’s womanising.

According to NDTV, Warne rubbished the reports of a relationship with the buxom blonde, underwear millionaire Michelle Mone, too. On the Today Show, the Australian dismissed it as “absolute rubbish”. “Mate it’s no one’s business but that is all absolute rubbish.. I roll and yawn that’s it..” he said.

Shane Warne also said that although he and Hurley no longer remain partners, they are still friends. “I’m single. I’m not seeing anyone, not dating anyone. I haven’t got the hots for anyone, ” he said. Warne also added: “If I catch up for lunch with someone or have a business meeting like the other day with someone, it’s absolutely rubbish what they write.”

The rumours of the split between Warne and Hurley arose in September last year when the exchange of tweets between them came to a halt. In December, it was then confirmed that they had split for good. Liz Hurley had tweeted that: ” recent events ” were “too raw and personal to share right now“, while Warne tweeted: “ Yes, we’re sorting through some (private) issues. But we’re not throwing the towel in yet”.

The couple were last seen together in November at the launch of Shane Warne Foundation’s Ambassador Program. Reports suggested that Liz Hurley was seen without the sapphire engagement ring at the program, which strengthened the rumours.
