A flamboyant left-handed batter with a bat swing to die for, Shivam Dube rose into the limelight in 2018-19 after he smashed veteran spinner Pravin Tambe for 5 consecutive sixes; a feat that went on to repeat during a Ranji Trophy fixture between Mumbai and Baroda ahead of the 2019 IPL auction.
A player with the dual skill set of both batsmanship, as well as seam bowling, also attracts high bids at an IPL auction. And with Dube in such a rich vein of form ahead of the event, it was no surprise when Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore belted out INR 5 Crores for his services.

Shivam Dube IPL Teams from 2018-24
Dube made his debut in the 2019 season but failed to make an impact in whatever outings (4) he got. Between the 2019 and the 2020 edition, he also made his T20I debut but again struggled to make an impact with either bat or ball.
The following season proved to be another forgettable outing for the Mumbai cricket as he could manage just 129 runs @ 18.42/121.2 besides claiming 4 wickets in 5 innings.
Dube was eventually let go by RCB ahead of the 2021 auction, where he was picked by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 4.4 Crores. It was at RR where the stylish southpaw showcased a glimpse of his talent.
He scored his maiden half-century- a match-winning 64* (42)- against eventual champions Chennai Super Kings to help Rajasthan gun down 189 in Abu Dhabi.
That inning from Dube was enough to convince MS Dhoni that he was a decent fit for his team going forward. As a result, CSK acquired his services in the 2022 mega-auction and Dube did not disappoint as he proved to be one of the lone shining points for CSK in an otherwise wretched campaign. In 11 innings, the southpaw scored 289 runs at a strike rate of 156.22 with 2 50+ scores, including a career-best 95* (46) against his former franchise, RCB.
His stint at the Chennai Super Kings got bigger and better the left-handed marauder cemented his place as the franchise’s No.4 and Dube’s performances reaped rewards as he scored 418 runs in 16 matches, including 35 sixes in the whole season, hitting the second-most sixes in that season and being instrumental in CSK’s successful season.
