In the latest ODI team rankings released by ICC on Tuesday, South Africa reclaimed the summit spot after winning the series in New Zealand 2-0. They had entered the series trailing Australia by one point but moved to the top following their 72-run victory in the second ODI in Mount Maunganui Oct 24.
South Africa continue to dominate the player rankings too, with ODI skipper AB de Villiers occupying the No.1 spot in the batsmen rankings, followed by Hashim Amla who reclaimed the No.2 spot in the latest rankings. Pacer Dale Steyn has retained his No.3 position in the bowlers rankings.
Defending World Cup champions India are ranked 3rd while finalists Sri Lanka are trailing them by 2 points at number 4.
