The visiting captain George Bailey won the toss and elected to bowl. Man-of-the-Match Mitchell Starc (2-16) and Glenn Maxwell (2-19) were the pick of the Aussie bowlers Friday night.
Quinton de Kock was again the top scorer for the hosts, scoring 41, as South Africa posted 128 for Australia to chase.
In response, Australia’s opening pair of Aaron Finch (39) and Cameron White (14) got the chase off to a solid start. Shane Watson (35) kept Australia well ahead of the required run rate, and the tourists cruised to victory in the 15th over.
