A crucial third T20I between South Africa and India is scheduled to take place today (Wednesday, November 13) at the iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion. The series is leveled at 1-1 after the hosts clinched a tight win in Gqeberha.
Bowling first, South Africa restricted India to just 124/6. However, Varun Chakaravarthy almost won India the match as he bamboozled the Proteas with a 5/17. Courtesy of Tristan Stubbs' 47* and Gerald Coetzee's much-needed cameo of 19* off nine, South Africa edged past Suryakumar Yadav's India.

SuperSport Park, Centurion Pitch Report: South Africa vs India 3rd T20I
Amid rain threat, the SuperSport Park is expected to provide a lush green, fast outfield that will allow batters to trust their strokes. This might be the best-suited surface for batters.
For the pacers, they will need to vary their pace and length consistently. They can find much more success here as compared to spinners. In the last five T20Is, spinners have bagged only 10 wickets at the venue, while pacers have struck 46 times at an economy rate of just above 10.5.
Last T20I match at SuperSport Park, Centurion
The last time the SuperSport Park hosted a T20 international was back in March 2023. It was the second T20I of the three-match series between South Africa and the West Indies.
The Centurion T20I wasn't just a high-scoring affair but it is still the match that saw the highest aggregate score in a T20I match. In fact, it is the only T20I that saw 500+ runs getting scored.
West Indies lost Brandon Kings early but Kyle Mayers and Johnson Charles stitched up a 135-run stand. Charles, in particular, was extremely dangerous as he hit 118 off 46. Romario Shepherd provided the finishing touches as he clubbed 41* off 18. As a result, the West Indies made 258/5.
It was an arduous task for the hosts but Quinton de Kock smashed his maiden T20I century in just 43 balls. He added a 152-run opening partnership with Reeza Hendricks, who scored 68 off 28. It was enough to put South Africa way ahead of the required run-rate as Aiden Markram finished off the duties with a 21-ball 38*. The hosts won by six wickets, with seven balls remaining.
