A new champion will be crowned in the Women's T20 World Cup tonight (October 20) as South Africa take on New Zealand in the final. The two teams have played exceptional cricket in this mega event, but only one will return home with the trophy.

Looking back at South Africa's journey to the final, the Women in Green and Gold defeated the West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland in the group stage. They finally overcame Australia in a Women's T20 World Cup game in the semifinal to make it to the summit clash.

New Zealand, meanwhile, beat India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan to finish second in Group A. The White Ferns then edged Group B tabletoppers the West Indies in a close semifinal at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium to set up a final against South Africa.
