The Boxing Day cricket is here. More than 10,000 kms away from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy action, a fresh chapter awaits to be added in the rivalry between South Africa and Pakistan. The Temba Bavuma-led side is scheduled to host Pakistan for two Tests. The opening Test will be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The series is hugely vital for South Africa. They are at the top of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table with 63.33 points percentage after 10 games. A series win here would guarantee their place. As for Pakistan, they welcome Babar Azam back in the Test squad.
