Azam lofting one over the top

The 22-year-old is one of the finest in the Pakistan cricket team at present. Since making his debut in March last year, the youngster has gone on to impress everyone. He averaged a very healthy 53.00 combining all formats in the year from 20 outings. He also amassed 1060 runs with 3 tons to his credit. With scores of 120, 123 and 117 in the series against West Indies in October, Azam now has the world record for the most runs in a three-match bilateral ODI series. His 360 runs beat de Kock's 342 against India.

Pakistan surely would want him to keep on going strong in the years ahead especially with the kind of talent he has. Maybe some years down the line he will be placed beside the likes of the Virat Kohli’s and the Joe Root’s.
