#4 Imran Tahir
Over the years, the only thing missing from the South African team was a good spinner and in the form of Imran Tahir, it looks like they have finally ended their search. Having made his debut in 2011, he has played an integral role in the Proteas success over the years and established himself as a limited overs specialist. In 64 matches he has taken 111 wickets at an average of 23.44

This year was no different for the leggie. In 15 matches, he took 27 wickets at an average of 25 with one five-wicket haul to his name. His best bowling figures of 7-45 against West Indies earlier this year were the best figures by a South African bowler in ODIs breaking Kagiso Rabada’s record. It was also the third best figures overall for a spinner and 9th best in overall bowling stats.
