#2 Rangana Herath
This Sri Lankan spin wizard is one of those few bowlers who has gotten better by age. Since making his debut way back in 1999, he took only 119 wickets in the first 13 years of his career, but over the last 4 years, he has turned over a new leaf and has taken 232 wickets.
He was phenomenal this year, especially against Australia in the 3 match Test series which they won at home. Throughout the year, he took 54 wickets in 8 matches at a phenomenal average of 17.53. Despite picking up only 3% of the votes by fans, he is our no. 2 choice and the reason he misses out on the number one spot is mainly because of the lack of matches played in comparison to the top bowler.
