After being in the shadow of his spin twin R Ashwin for the last two years, 2017 saw Ravindra Jadeja outperforming his teammate with both bat and ball. Jadeja was very instrumental in the Indian team winning the four-match Test series against Australia earlier this year as he starred with both bat and ball that saw him winning the Man of the Series award.
Apart from that, the Saurashtra all-rounder made his presence felt in both the three-match series against Sri Lanka with his performances.
With the bat, Jadeja scored 328 runs in 14 innings at an average of 41 this year which includes four fifties and a highest score of unbeaten 70. He was better with the ball as he ended the year with 54 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 23.05 with 6/63 being his best bowling figures and struck once every 56 balls.
