SRH vs RPS Match Prediction: Who will win today's battle between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rising Pune Supergiants, IPL 2016, Match 22

The Rising Pune Supergiants take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the latter's home ground in the 22nd game of the Vivo IPL. So far, the Rising Pune Supergiants have hardly risen to the challenges posed to them and the Sunrisers Hyderabad have risen to the top when things were looking gloomy for them at one stage. It's getting tougher for Pune with every passing game and Dhoni's men would like to give their best to arrest the slide. The Sunrisers are going along nicely with a hat-trick of wins under their belt after they lost the first couple of games. Based on current form, Sunrisers start sure favourites but Rising Pune Supergiants would like to prove that they are no pushovers.

If Rising Pune Supergiants bat first

Predicted score: 150 and above

Ajinkya Rahane has been in pretty good nick and he would love to continue his rich vein of form. Giving him company will be Faf du Plessis who has blown hot and cold in this tournament. Steve Smith has to play a monumental knock for his franchise very soon.

MS Dhoni needs to come up the order to give the innings the right direction. With Thisara Perera and Albie Morkel in their ranks, few lusty blows from them could make a large difference to the final score. The batters need to get the extra 15 runs to provide some extra cushion to their struggling bowling attack.

Perera and Morkel would like to be more economical with the ball for the Supergiants. It will be interesting to see whether Ishant Sharma will get a game in place of Ankit Sharma.

Murugan Ashwin has been impressive as he seems to possess all the variations needed for a quality leg spinner. Also a word of praise for Rajat Bhatia who has been extremely smart with his slow dibbly-dobblers. The senior pro R Ashwin would like to take more responsibility and few wickets from his side would definitely lift the spirits of the Supergiants.

If Sunrisers Hyderabad bats first

Predicted score: 165 and above

Expect more of the same from the Sunrisers. Warner and Dhawan would want to continue with their merry ways at the top of the order. On a personal front, Warner will also have an eye on the orange cap which is currently held by Virat Kohli.

The big three is the trio of Hooda, Ojha and Morgan in the middle who would love to provide the extra push to the scoring rate to get them a score of 165 and above.

The big news on the bowling front is the return of Ashish Nehra. The Sunrisers haven't missed him much though because the likes of Sran and Bhuvneshwar have bowled superbly.

The bowling, in general, has simply been outstanding for the Sunrisers with Mustafizur Rahman being the pick of the bowlers. When it comes to the spinners, Bipul Sharma has done a decent job with Deepak Hooda giving him excellent company. Deepak Hooda has in fact bowled in the powerplays and has done a fine holding job.
