ICC recently updated their ranking for the ODI Bowler, while most of the player kept their position in the top 10, a few changes took in the top and bottom of the list.
One of the significant changes was Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc drop from the number one position. The player who previously topped the list dropped to second place after managing to only take five wickets in the series, his rating went from 783 to 713, which was a drop by a total 70 points.
Due to the Australian's poor performance South African wrist spinner Imran Tahir who previously occupied the second position went up to first place.
England’s James Anderson though went out of the list after dropping 16 points. The player previously was in 9th place with 650 points, but dropped to 634 during the course of the series.
Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin who was already in the top 10 list was joined by fellow countryman Bhuvenshwar Kumar. Ashwin who was previously in 10th position went up by one place, and Kumar went on to replace him.

While Kumar is the last person in the top 10 list, seven players from England and Australia managed to achieve their career’s best ranking after the series.
The most significant was England’s bowler Moeen Ali, off-spinner went up by seven places to reach his career best of 29th position. Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins took a huge leap after their brilliant performance. The duo who were the series top wicket-takers with 12 wickets from 5 matches, they currently inhabit the 29 and 62 rank in the list, respectively. While Maxwell’s rank only shot up by 22, Cummins took a 50 rank jump.
The other bowlers whose ranks had some significant change were Adil Rashid, Nathan Coulter-Nile, David Willey and Marsh.
Rashid gained 33 places to end in 78th spot, while Coulter-Nile jumped 12 places to 81st. On the other hand, Willey and Marsh managed to scrape their way into the top 100 list with Willey ranking 97th and Marsh ranking 99th.
