When the list for batsmen with the highest ODI averages in their career is tabulated, surprisingly, it is not Hashim Amla or Michael Bevan who top the list, but it’s Netherlands’ Ryan ten Doeschate. Another player from the same country, Tom Cooper, finds a place at No.6. While Amla, Trott and Voges are names that make the list largely owing to their current form, MSD, Bevan and De Villiers make it based on the consistent run they have had in their career.

Ryan ten Doeschate (Ned) | 32 | 1541 | 67.00 |

Michael Bevan (Aus) | 196 | 6912 | 53.58 |
Jonathan Trott (Eng) | 59 | 2681 | 52.56 |
MS Dhoni (Ind) | 197 | 7286 | 51.67 |
