There are only 7 instances of a bowler taking 2 hat-tricks in a first-class match, with the last such occurrence having happened way back in 1979, when Amin Lakhani, representing Combined XI, achieved the rare feat against Indians.
Alfred Shaw of Nottinghamshire was the first one to do so, against Gloucestershire in 1884. There is only one Indian entry in the list: Joginder Rao of Services, who took a double hat-trick against North Punjab in 1964.
