Kumar Sangakkara is at the top of the list of batsmen who took fewest innings to reach 11,000 runs in Test cricket. He reached the milestone in just 208 innings. He played his 208th inning against Bangladesh where he scored a mammoth 319 runs to reach 11,000. Brian Lara is second to Sangakkara who took 213 innings to reach 11,000 Test runs.
