Stats: Highest run-getters in IPL 2014 after league stage

Robin Uthappa leads the way

IPL 2014 has seen quite a few batsmen score a lot of runs. Players such as Robin Uthappa and Glenn Maxwell lead the way. It is really heartening to see that an Indian batsman is leading the tally. Among other Indian batsmen, only Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan have been able to get into the list, at number 8 and 10 respectively. Henceforth, the competition will be getting stiffer as the tournament comes to a close.

Another thing worth noting is that Robin Uthappa does not have the best average among the top 10. JP Duminy has the highest average of 51.25. In terms of strike rate, Glenn Maxwell is far ahead of the rest at 191.72. Also Warner’s and de Villiers’s presence is worth looking at when you consider the fact that they batted at 4 or 5 for most part of the tournament.
