Stats: Most runs in an innings by a wicketkeeper

Andy Flower is currently the coach of England cricket Team

Here is a list of wicketkeepers who have scored the most number of runs in an innings in the history of Test cricket. Not many would be surprised by the first name that pops up on the list and the opposition against which the batsman has set the record.

Andy Flower, the Zimbabwean wicketkeeper-batsman, was a thorn in the flesh for the Indian team during his playing days. An excellent player of spin bowling, the current England coach, took special liking to the Indian bowlers against whome he averaged an inconceivable 94.83 as against his career average of 51.54.

Indian captain MS Dhoni also finds his name on the list. Indian team would be hoping that their captain carries his Test form forward, an average of around 70 in the last couple of years, into the more challenging assignments ahead.
