Stuart Broad backs Jonathan Trott, says 'schedule is pretty hectic'

The cricketing schedule has become very intensive in the last couple of years. Teams play cricket non-stop, jumping countries and continents regularly. Jonathan Trott, the solid middle-order English batsman, has flown back home from Austrailia, pre-maturely, due to a stress related condition.

His team-mate, and one of England’s premier fast bowlers, Stuart Broad told BBC Radio 5 live:

“We can do 270 or 280 nights a year in hotel rooms, which can get quite hard, especially with guys missing their families.”

“The most important thing is that players recover and get right again.”

This might be the tip of the iceberg, as far as such situations are concerned. The ICC must re-consider its schedules, and make it more player-friendly.
