Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

By now, almost all those who have been following Indian cricket must have become accustomed to all those timely surprises we have been receiving over the years by the national selection panel.

So, here comes yet another surprise bomb by the national selection panel. This time, it comes in the form of the national team which will be going to England for Champions Trophy, just after the conclusion of IPL 6.

Over the years, IPL has taken place of the Ranji tournament, which was earlier used as a ground for selecting the national team. So is the case this time also. Almost all the players have been selected on the basis of their recent performance in the ongoing IPL 6. The selection team this time has decided to send the young blood of Team India to England for Champions Trophy under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

The decision of omitting senior players like Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh can be taken as a brave move by the selection team. For the first time, I have seen the selection panel keeping talent above name. But yet exclusion of Yuvi and Gauti can weaken the batting line-up. In absence of Gautam the inexperienced opening batting line-up might find it difficult to tackle the Bowling in the tough situation of England.

But on the other hand this will give the best exposure to the young blood of Indian team and will prove to be the best platform for forming the future Indian team.

The inclusion of player like Dhawan, Amit Mishra, Vijay, Kartik seeing their recent form can prove a very healthy option for the future of Indian cricket team. Now it depends on MS Dhoni how he marshals his young troops. Everyone knows his capability of marshaling young blood exceptionally well. Hope he repeats what he did in CW Bank series in Australia where he was given the responsibility of Young team and in 2007 T20 Wc in South Africa.

This will not only give the selectors some respite for selecting the team for further series, but will also add another glory in India triumphs. Hope the player stand on the decision made by the selectors. Well none will deny from the fact, that this is the bravest decision made by the selectors for long time now. And probably this is the best line up that could be selected seeing the present scenario.
