Ball tracking has been a savior for both the batsmen and the bowlers

Ball Tracking is a technology used to determine the path of the ball after it has been released from the bowler’s arm i.e. it is generally used to determine the how the ball might travel if the ball was not in contact with the batsman. In other words, it gives a detailed view of how particular deliveries have been bowled and what their paths were.

It helps in determining how much swing/seam, spin, bounce or any kind of movement that was there on the ball. It has helped in reviewing LBW decisions. It is one of the key components of the Decision Review System (DRS).
