It was the 7th game of IPL 2015 and Mumbai Indians were up against Kings XI Punjab at Mumbai. Both teams were eager to register their first win of the tournament.
KXIP batted first and posted a total of 177 on the board thanks to skipper George Bailey's 32-ball 61 and chippings from openers Murali Vijay and Virender Sehwag.
In reply, Mumbai Indians were in a bizarre situation as they were struggling at 59/6 in the 14th over. At this stage, Harbhajan Singh and Jagadeesha Suchith were at the crease. The match was well out of MI's reach but Bhajji and Suchith tried to take MI to a respectable total.
Harbhajan was facing most of the deliveries and was smashing the Punjab bowlers all across the park. Suchith also showed briskness during the times he got to be on strike. The pair added 100 for the 7th wicket which at that time was the highest 7th wicket partnership in T20 history.
The partnership came to an end when Bhajji was dismissed for 64 from 24 deliveries. Mumbai Indians eventually fell 18 runs short of the target.
