The U - 19 cricket team could not win the world cup but performed very well right through the tournament. It also threw up some very gritty performances by some key players which were taken note of. Three players were outstanding and they were: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kartik Tyagi and Ravi Bishnoi. The coaches of Yuzvendra Chahal and Virat Kohli backed these three players saying if they persisted and honed their skills further then they would surely play for India.
