The 'Gabbar' of Indian cricket, Shikhar Dhawan, has big flaws in his batting in the seaming conditions. His record is miserable on a pitch where the ball is in action. His dismissals look the same every time and he is finding it hard to play out-swinging deliveries. He got a couple of chances the last game but he was not able to convert those into big scores. His technique in overseas conditions has met with a lot of criticism from media and ex-cricketers.

Prithvi has shown a big hunger for runs in first class. In his last 10 innings, he has scored 4 hundreds. With his footwork and cut shots, Shaw could show an attacking cricket in England. Selectors would be tempted to use him in the English conditions. If Prithvi is able to convert on the chances, Dhawan might not make it to the squad for the Australian tour. So basically, if Dhawan wastes any more chances it could be the end of his career in the test cricket.
