Mohammad Shahzad is the most experienced wicket-keeper from Afghanistan. He scored the most runs for Afghanistan in T20Is with 1936 runs to his name. He is the only T20I centurion from Afghanistan. He achieved that landmark against Zimbabwe on 10 January 2016 at Sharjah. He was the ICC Associate Player of the Year 2016.

Mohammad Nabi is the most experienced all-rounder from Afghanistan. He used to lead the national side from 2013 until 2015. He scored 1014 runs and picked 67 wickets in his T20I career. His highest score was 89 against Ireland on 12 March 2017 at Greater Noida. His best bowling figures were 4/10 against Ireland on 20 January 2017 at Dubai.
