Coming to bat in the lower middle order, Bevan was a great reader of the game and planned the tempo of his innings to perfection.

He was a master at maneuvering the ball in the gaps and converted his ones into two by running swiftly between the wickets. Bevan was cool as a cucumber and pressure never got to him.
