#6 Virat Kohli 133* vs Sri Lanka (CB Series, Hobart, February 28, 2012)
There can be little doubt that Virat Kohli is one of the greatest middle order batsmen in ODIs at the moment. Sri Lanka got first-hand experience of that in the 11th ODI of the Australian tri-series (CB Series),2012.
Chasing 321 for victory, the Men in Blue needed to reach the target within 40 overs to keep alive any chances of making the tournament final. With the CB series final chances on the line, Indian batsmen started aggressively and were in a 2-86 position with Virat Kohli and Gautham Gambhir in the crease. The chase master simply carved the Sri Lankan bowlers to all corners of Hobart cricket stadium and registered his career-best innings.
Kohli finished with 133* off just 86 balls, and his spectacular knock included sixteen fours and two sixes. His innings helped team India to reach the target in their 36th over and won the match by 7 wickets.
