Left-handed opening batsman Andrew Puttick has been one of the most important players in the Cape Cobras side for a considerable period of time and continues to be a rock at the top of the order for the side in all formats of the game in domestic cricket.

Occasionally, Puttick keeps wickets as well and that makes him a high-quality utility player for the side, particularly in limited overs cricket.

Puttick is a veteran of the first-class game in South Africa and has turned out in 170 games so far. He averages a healthy 40.11 and has scored 26 centuries. In List A cricket, he has scored 12 centuries and 30 half-centuries in 171 games.

Puttick is a regular in the Cape Cobras' T20 side as well and is well known for having scored 104 in the T20 Champions League in India back in 2009.
