The only batsman to add over 10,000 runs in the Ranji Trophy, Jaffer has 10143 runs to his name. He is also the only player on the list to have scored at least one Test century for India.

Starting his career in 1996/97 for Mumbai, Jaffer graduated to the national team in 2000, when he made his Test debut against South Africa. Given the fact that he was given sporadic chances in the national team, he kept chalking up runs in the domestic circuit.

In over 230 first-class matches, the opening batsman scored 17,229 runs, with the help of 51 centuries.
