Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to reach the finals of IPL 2018 without the services of David Warner. Kane Williamson excelled both as a leader as well as the leading batsman of the team.

The Kiwi skipper ended the tournament as the highest run-getter of the season. At this year's auction, the Sunrisers bought two proven T20 performers in Johnny Bairstow and Martin Guptill.

Warner is set to play in IPL 2019 which will add to Sunrisers' batting might. SRH has a strong Indian bowling contingent and will have the luxury of playing 3 of these 4 overseas batsmen throughout the season.

Sunrisers' problem has been it's unstable middle order but with the in-form Vijay Shankar in the side, the team will breathe a sigh of relief. And even though Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda did not have the best of seasons last year, they are well equipped for scoring big runs. Also, they have the experienced Yusuf Pathan and young Abhishek Sharma in the lower-middle order.
