2 Shivnarine Chanderpaul
He is one of the greatest batsmen to have ever played for the West Indies and without a doubt, among the best batsmen that Guyana has ever produced. Chanderpaul first played for Guyana in 1991 as a teenager and quickly grew into one of their best batsmen.
Even though he retired from international cricket in 2015, he continues to play for Guyana and remains the best batsman in the side. Chanderpaul is the highest run scorer in the history of Guyanese cricket with 5746 runs, at an average of 63.14.
He has also scored 17 centuries for Guyana during his first-class career and continues to be the most influential player in the side. He remained the bulwark of West Indian batting after the retirements of some of Brian Lara and will forever be remembered as one of Guyana's greatest ever cricketers.
