#2 Virat Kohli (C/Rate: 43.16)
Even before you started reading this slideshow, you might have guessed that the current Indian skipper might pop up somewhere on this list. Yes, Virat Kohli isn't first on this list which is surprising as he mostly tops every list as far as batting in ODI cricket is concerned. The 31-year-old is a freak of nature and his consistency in almost every form of the game is unbelievable.
Kohli has played 234 ODIs in which he has amazed 11251 runs at an astonishing average of 60 with 54 half centuries and 41 hundreds. The Indian skipper is known as the modern chase master as most of his hundreds have come while chasing. There is simply no better batsman in world cricket than Virat, at least in the ODI format.
#1 David Warner (C/Rate: 44.44)
One of the most under-appreciated batsmen in world cricket is the Australian opener David Warner and the fact that he is first on this list might come as a surprise to many. This is also considering that Warner was out of international cricket for a year and returned only recently in the ongoing World Cup. Warner has amassed 516 runs in the world cup and established his credentials of being one of the very best in the world.
The explosive opener has played 114 ODIs, scoring 4859 runs at an average of 45 with 16 hundreds and 20 half centuries. The 32-year-old is reaching the latter part of his career but he is showing no signs of slowing down. Warner is very destructive once he gets going and I personally can watch him play forever.
