The South African ODI openers, Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock, top the list. The pair have amassed a huge total of 2,095 runs together at an average of 55.13. In the 40 innings since the 2015 World Cup, they have had eight fifty runs and four century partnerships.
In October 2017, South Africa beat Bangladesh in what was the highest target chased down in ODIs without losing a wicket. Amla (110*) and de Kock (168*) put on a partnership of 279 to win with 43 balls to spare.
At 24, de Kock is a decade younger than Amla and the pair have formed a formidable partnership despite being at opposite ends of their careers.
