Anmolpreet Singh
The 19-year-old batsman from Punjab is having a dream start to his first-class career. After scoring a fifty in his maiden Ranji match and a century in his second match, Anmolpreet went one better as he scored a double century to help Punjab beat Chhattisgarh by an innings and claim maximum points. At just 19 years and 220 days, he became the second-youngest to score a double century for Punjab.
So far, the 19-year-old is having a better season than even Prithvi Shaw and that is saying something. Despite playing only three first-class matches, his scores currently read 50, 113 and 267 and has an unbelievable average of 143.33.
While any talks of rising through the ranks are still premature, if he keeps developing at this rate, there is little doubt that he will soon be mentioned as one of the names for a national call-up.
