#3. Ajaz Patel (New Zealand)
Another Patel playing for New Zealand, Ajaz has followed in the footsteps of Dipak Patel and Jeetan Patel. The Mumbai-born shifted to New Zealand very early in his career.
Ajaz was the most productive bowler in the series and picked up the highest number of wickets (10). The next best was Nasum Ahmed with 8.
Ajaz took the new ball in every match and caused difficulties for the opposition batsmen every time. What's more impressive was his bowling average. He averaged just 7.30 with the ball in his hand, which was the best in the series.
#2. Nasum Ahmed (Bangladesh)
Nasum, who made his T20I debut earlier this year in New Zealand, really made his ball talk.
Nasum bowled 14 overs in the series, picking up 8 important wickets for his side at an unbelievable average of 8.3 runs per wicket. He was adjusted as the "Man of the Series" along with Tom Latham.
Nasum varied his pace according to the situation. His new-ball effort kept New Zealand quiet throughout the series. Nasum said that he isn't given the role of a wicket-taker with the new ball, even though he tries to use the hard seam as much as possible to strike for his team.
#1. Tom Latham (New Zealand)
After being skittled for their joint-lowest total in T20I cricket in the series opener against Bangladesh, New Zealand showed improvement over the next four matches despite losing the series 3-2. Their captain Tom Latham was central to both victories, following up his maiden T20I fifty in the second match with another crafty half-century in the fifth T20I.
The Blackcaps skipper was named as joint Man of the Series. No one scored more runs than the 29-year-old and his 159 runs in the series proved extremely important for the visitors.
In a series where almost all the big names were missing from his side, Latham proved why he is touted as the best wicket-keeper batsman in the team since Brendan McCullum as far as white-ball cricket is concerned.
