He has never missed a single IPL game so far in his career and has been very consistent. He has scored over 350 runs in every season of the IPL. First eight years, he was the fulcrum of the batting line-up (at No. 3) of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and then when the CSK franchise were banned he continued the good work for Gujarat Lions (GL).
