It was the second Qualifier of 2014 IPL that was played at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The first innings ended with Sehwag scoring an astonishing century and helping the Punjab team to put 226 runs on the board.

Chasing a mighty target of 227, CSK started off badly. Their opener, Faf du Plessis fell for a duck in the very first over. But then came a storm with the batting of Suresh Raina as CSK managed to pull out 100 runs in the powerplay.

Raina scored a breathtaking 87 off just 25 balls at a ridiculous strike rate of 348. Despite the start that was needed, Chennai went on to lose the match and got eliminated from the tournament.
