Toby Roland-Jones recorded the best figures on Test debut by an England bowler in nearly 50 years, by claiming an eight wicket haul in the third Test match played against South Africa at The Oval in July, 2017. The fast bowler ran through the Proteas top order, dismissing their top 4 with his first 33 balls. In his first spell, he dismissed Dean Elgar, Heino Kuhn, Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock. He finished with an impressive figures of 5-57 in the first innings.
