Video: Adam Gilchrist's famous walking incident

The controversial walking incident against Sri Lanka in the 2003 World Cup Semi Final. The incident took place of the bowling off Arvinda De Silva. Umpire, Rudi Koertzen was in no mood to raise his finger but Adam Gilchrist decided to walk. Considering the magnitude of the game many, including captain Ricky Ponting, believed that he should not have walked. Gilchrist after that incident joined the group of walkers, which is increasingly is getting rare nowadays.
