Video: Mark Waugh hit-wicket vs SA - Most controversial umpiring decision ever?

In the 3rd Test match Day 5, 1998, with only a few overs were left for the end of the Test match, Australia were somehow hanging on for a draw and Mark Waugh their last recognised batsmen.

Having played till then, the best ever Test-saving knock of his career, he hit his wicket unintentionally off the bowling of Shaun Pollock, but was given not-out. The entire South African team was in a shock as the proceedings out there in the middle were beyond their belief.

Wisden, later in their match report, stated that Hansie Cronje even speared a stump through the door of the umpires’ room after the game.
