England women registered a comprehensive 9-wicket win over South Africa in the ongoing Women’s World T20 to reach the final today. South Africa folded out for just 101, with 5 of their batters getting run-out, which is a world record!
One extremely hilarious/painful (depending on how you view it) dismissal was the run-out of Sune Luus. As she hit the ball over extra-cover, completed the first run and started for the second, she collided mid-pitch with her partner Chloe Tryon.
Even as the fielder missed the non-striker’s end, there was enough time for the backup fielder to collect the throw and run Luus out at the striker’s end. Total disaster in the middle:
