In the first Test between England and Sri Lanka at Lord’s, Nuwan Pradeep was dismissed in an unfortunate manner as he fell on the stumps after being hit by a Chris Jordan bouncer.

The Sri Lankan seemed to be taken aback by the extra bounce of the delivery from Jordan. Attempting to play a pull shot, he was hit on the shoulder, following which he lost balance and fell on the stumps. Luckily, the 27-year-old fast bowler did not injure himself seriously in the process.

Pradeep became the 8th batsman to be dismissed hit wicket at the “Home of Cricket” after Frank Woolley, Jackie Grant, Peter May, Hedley Howarth, Robin Smith, Ian Salisbury and Mike Atherton.
