Legendary Australian leg-spinner Richie Benaud, who had an equally celebrated career as a commentator (if not more) post retirement, has paid a touching tribute to compatriot Phillip Hughes, who passed away this Thursday as a result of "vertebral artery dissection" after being hit by a bouncer in a Sheffield Shield game on November 25.
The short video shows Phillip’s life in images as Benaud recites, “A boy, just beginning...25 years of age...baggy green number 408.”
“His father’s best mate...son, brother, fighter, friend...inspiration.”
“Phillip Hughes, forever rest in peace, son.”
