The Ashes 2005 series in England was Richie Benaud’s last test match as a commentator for Channel 4 in England.Richie was given a standing ovation when he started to speak his final spell of commentary for the English commentary box.
He still commentates in Australia for nine network and is currently the longest tenured commentator.
Richie’s majestic voice has always been supported by the people and for me, he was the reason why I used to watch the test matches and ODI’s in Australia.
