India were 1-2 down against Pakistan in the five-match ODI series in 2004 and it was a win or lose situation for them. Pakistan won the toss and had elected to bat first. However, they didn’t get off to a good start as Irfan Pathan’s twin strike early with the new-ball had Pakistan on the back foot. However, Inzamam-ul-Haq went onto post an imposing 293 runs in 50 overs. The Indian bowlers did well to cut down the flow of runs in the final 10 overs after they looked like they’d score 320 runs.
It was India’s time to bat, but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. At one point of time, India lost five wickets with more than 132 runs needed to square the series.
So let’s watch the highlights of the match to see if India managed to claim the victory.
