Virat Kohli reveals his very first Bollywood crush

What Virat Kohli does on and off the field is probably the most speculated question right now in Indian social circles. How he feels would probably be a close second. His relationship with Bollywood star Anushka Sharma has been fodder for headlines all over the country, mostly products of fiction – how she was the reason for his 2015 World Cup failure, how they broke up, and how they still celebrate close occasions together.

However, in what might set a lot of fans going berserk again, Kohli has revealed in an interview that Anushka was not his first crush from the Bollywood industry after all. It was, instead, Karishma Kapoor, one of the leading faces of Bollywood in the 1990s, when Kohli was growing up.

Even without dragging Anushka’s name into this, something she has found to be a nagging habit of ‘fans’ when once is in a relationship with the India Test captain, it is an interesting piece of fact that it was Karishma Kapoor who had first stolen the dashing cricketer’s heart.

Like Karishma was breaking box office records in her heydays, Kohli is now breaking cricket records at drops of hats. It is quite apt that the poster boy of Indian cricket once had a crush on the poster girl of Indian cinema.
