Virender Sehwag wishes Harbhajan Singh on becoming a father

Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian spinner, who tied the knot with Geeta Basra last year, has become the proud father of a baby girl. He has received wished from old India teammate Virender on this occasion, in a witty fashion which the former opener has made his own typical style.

Translation : “Bhajji, you were a father (Baap) on the field already, now you have become a father (Papa) in your life too.”

Bhajji’s wife Geeta Basra delivered the baby girl at a London Hospital, and both mother and daughter are said to be in great physical condition.

The couple had dated for five years prior to the wedding. The marriage ceremony was celebrated in a lavish way where many cricket stars and Bollywood celebrities were present. The couple had arranged a posh baby shower ceremony last month.

Harbhajan is the latest India cricketer to become father to a baby girl, after Mohammed Shami, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni.

Harbhajan was wished on the occasion by many people from the cricket fraternity, but Virender Sehwag just had to ensure he came up with a wish that was from the exact centre of his bat.
